Jogini Waterfall, Vashisht

Drive to Vashisht from Manali in the early morning, where you can take a quick dip in the hot sulphur springs and then walk along the Beas River witnessing the panoramic view of Dhauladhar. It’s one of the easy level treks that takes 4-6 hours.

Visit the temple dedicated to sage Vashisht. Then trekking along a narrow trail through tall pine and deodar forest, you will reach the sacred Jogini Waterfall that is only 3 km away from Vashisht.

You can also visit the temple of Jogini Mata located at the base of the beautiful waterfall.

After this, you can walk through the local villages of Bahang, Gusal, Shange, and Burwa. After the treks, you can return to Manali by jeep.

Patalsu Peak, Solang

You can drive to Solang Valley then trek through the Solang Village towards Patalsu Peak (4,472mtrs).

It is a challenging trek, ideal for fit beginners, and the trekking distance is about 16kms that takes 8-9 hours to complete.It is an uphill path passing through apple orchards, a dense forest of oak, and alpine meadows which will offer beautiful views of the valley.

You can also spot avian species like Khaleej and Morals on your way.The difficulty level of this trek is easy to moderate. From the Patalsu peak, you will experience an excellent view of Friendship peak, Lahaul, Spiti, and Kullu valley. Return to Solang and drive back to Manali.

Chika, Chichoga Village

Starting from Manali drive to Chichoga village, then from here follow the trek through thick forest to Chichoga heights where the temple is situated at the summit. The path passes through the dense forest of Deodar, walnut, and Birch tree to Chika.

After reaching Chika, you will get a picturesque view of snow-capped mountains and clouds hovering on top of them.You can spend your time at Jobra or Chika close to Hampta River, and by the end, you can drive back to Manali. The whole trek can take up to 7-8 hours.

Lamadugh (3,018m)

Drive early in the morning to Manu temple in Old Manali.Then begin your trek from here after taking blessings and climb through a thick scenic forest of Cedar and Oak.

This trek will take 5-6 hours. You can indulge in several activities and spend some time there before heading back to Manali.

The trail presents a spectacular view of Beas River valley, Indrasan, DeoTibba, and Bara Shigri glacier. While moving further through the Manalsu River Valley, the gentle slopes and lush green meadows, and alpine trees of Lamadugh will surely mesmerize you.

Deo Tibba (6001 m)

It is the longest one day trek from Manali that takes 12 to 14 hours to complete. Deo Tibba trek is one of the most picturesque treks which will fascinate you with its expansive views, exposed rock faces, and hanging glaciers.

To head for this trek, Leave early from Manali and drive to Jobri or Marhi, from where you will see the first view of Deo Tibba. 

The gradual pathway to Piangneru and crossing the Jobri stream, head towards Sethan dome that offers a splendid view of Beas River valley. Finally, move downwards to Sethan Village where the trip ends, and drive back to Manali.

Kullu Manali Airport in Bhuntar is the nearest airport that is approximately 50 kilometers away from Manali. Domestic flights from Delhi and Chandigarh are well- connected with this airport.  By Road
